{"id":1,"date":"2011-07-14T14:01:01","date_gmt":"2011-07-14T14:01:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/2011-portland.wordcamp.org\/?p=1"},"modified":"2011-07-25T21:47:31","modified_gmt":"2011-07-25T21:47:31","slug":"wordcamp-portland-date-and-venue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/portland.wordcamp.org\/2011\/wordcamp-portland-date-and-venue\/","title":{"rendered":"WordCamp Portland 2011: September 17-18 at the Eliot Center"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019m excited to announce that after various challenges planning this year\u2019s event that we have a confirmed date and location for WordCamp Portland 2011.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WordCamp Portland will be held September 17-18th at the Eliot Center<\/strong>\u00a0in downtown Portland.<\/p>\n<p>Details on registration, the format &amp; schedule, and sponsorship opportunities will be announced shortly.<\/p>\n<p>The lead organizer this year will be Andrea Middleton, a former Portlander who\u2019s in the midst of moving back to our city and she has plenty of blog and WordCamp experience. She\u2019s currently working with myself (Aaron Hockley) along with a few previous WordCamp Portland folks; we\u2019re putting together the pieces to bring another great WordPress\/blogging conference to the Portland area.<\/p>\n<p>We wanted to get the date on everyone\u2019s calendar; we\u2019ll have more to announce shortly and you\u2019ll be seeing some big changes on this website.
