Leah serves as Executive Director of FACES Foundation, a Portland-based non-profit that provides cleft lip and palate surgery to indigent patients in northern Peru. FACES works with the most isolated, difficult to reach patients who otherwise have little healthcare access. Leah switched FACES’ website to WordPress just over a year ago, and found some surprising results on the ground in Peru as a result. When she’s not bouncing around in the bed of a pick-up truck en route to a new Peruvian village, you can find her in Portland speaking Japanese, poring over anatomy textbooks or attempting to get into scorpion pose on the yoga mat.
