For your convenience, here\u2019s a quick list:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Business cards<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> &#8211; WordCamps are great opportunities to connect with people you\u2019ll want to follow up with.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Cell phone<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> &#8211; good for taking pictures of schedules, slides, and taking notes. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Cell phone battery<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> &#8211; while some outlets will be available for charging, a battery means you can charge on the go and where outlets are occupied.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Small notebook and pen\/pencil<\/strong> &#8211; remember, however, that most slides and other content are made available online during or after WordCamp<\/li>\n<li><b>Water bottle and\/or travel mug<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> &#8211; help save the environment and reduce WordCamp waste!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Portland in the autumn\u2026 Having a <\/span><b>rain jacket<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> handy can\u2019t hurt. \ud83d\ude42 <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Collapsible Chico or other <\/span><b>reusable bag<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> &#8211; great for swag.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Common question: <strong>should I bring my laptop? <\/strong><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">That depends. If you\u2019re a presenter, plan to attend developer sessions where you\u2019ll want to access git repos, or do work between sessions, then you may want it.
