Courtney  is a community organizer for the WordPress open source project with Automattic. She has a background in arts and technology, including design, photography, filmography. Her background and passions led her to pursue work in entertainment, games, and software. She loves to figure out which dish to cook and which cocktail to mix for you. Courtney is on almost every social networking site imaginable and is highly Google-able, but is most active on Twitter at @courtneyp.

Nick is the founder of Gameflow Interactive, a web and experience design agency that builds WordPress platforms that activate audiences for cultural organizations – performing arts centers, film festivals and museums. Nick developed Gameflow’s approach to content strategy and customer experiences – driven by storytelling and game mechanics to motivate audience behavior – through fifteen years experience as a theatrical producer, sound designer, and web technology “therapist” in Chicago.

I’m a full-stack front-end developer and consultant working primarily in Genesis. I’ve presented at WordPress meetups and attended WordCamps in PDX, Seattle and Denver. I’ve also taught WordPress classes for Girl Develop It PDX. My company, Wired Pinecone, turned 5 this year; I much enjoy consulting and developing for local colleges and small businesses alongside international nonprofits.

Jamie is a freelance WordPress Architect and Project Manager. She has a background in Information Architecture, Web Development and UX design, but her true calling is having way too much fun doing content strategy and architecture for all the interesting projects that come her way.

Doug is the founder of EfficientWP, specializing in a WordPress design in a day service. He believes in building quality websites, and with the right approach, they don’t have to take a lot of time. He’s also spoken at a number of WordCamps and is an organizer for the Portland WordPress Meetup.

Justine is a web & digital marketing professional who loves to communicate through online channels to help others get the information they need.

She is  a WordPress advocate because of the community, the flexibility of the software, and that it allows her to build websites for non-technical users to empower them to update content without them having to learn to code.

As a “Jill of All Trades” because she is a hybrid that enjoys using her technical skills and non-techncial skills to fill in the gaps where ever she is needed on a project or within a team.

Eva Garber is a graphic designer and web site designer with a passion for storytelling and problem solving. She helps nonprofits and small business owners tell their story through smartly crafted design for print and web. She focuses on creating beautiful deliverables that share your vision, and articulate your voice and value.

I am a professional musician and teacher @ Grace Notes Music Studio. But I have always had a soft spot for technology. This is what motivated me to help organize this year’s WordCamp. All of my websites are built with WordPress and I work with other small businesses and entrepreneurs to develop their web presence with WordPress.

Faddah Steve Yuetsu Wolf, a man with just too damn many names, is a 60s/70s throw back ever posing the question to Porpsters, “why all the hating on the hippies?” He has done tech support, QA and various forms of software engineering since 1989. He also is quite a fan of the music Django Reinhardt (the French Gypsy Jazz Guitar Player, not the web programming language), and gave a talk on Gypsy Jazz, as well as music performance, at Portland’s Ignite 9. Thankfully, no one in that audience seems to have been harmed by this experience. He also enjoys the local Portland Comedy & Theatre scenes. He also refers to himself as “pleasure activist” and “beer snob.” Oh, and he has fallen deeply in love with Portland as a transplant; for it’s strong coffee, stronger women, tasteful micro-crafted beer, and it’s wild, Open Source Heart.

From Commodore 64 and PC’s around 1982 to current Macbook Pro 2017, Tom has been fiddling with computers (hardware and software). In 1996 he discovered Java and the internet and has been doing front end, back end, and various other ends like graphics, audio, and video. He especially enjoys building web sites using WordPress.  He was a Flash enthusiast for a while till Steve Jobs nixed it because of its bloat and the new world of mobile phones and tablets.  He has degrees in philosophy, theology, and computer science.  He was certified  to teach English in Florida.  His company is imindtools.com LLC.
